The Comedy Rooms

The Comedy Rooms is a true labor of love, run by just a small team. Whether it's keeping things flowing at the bar, checking in guests with a warm welcome, or ensuring each show runs smoothly, this small but mighty team comes together to create something special. With a passion for live comedy and a commitment to making every night unforgettable, they work hard behind the scenes to bring laughter and joy to the community. It's not a big operation, but it's one built on heart, enthusiasm, and a shared love for the craft.​​

Adam Scott runs professional comedy nights across Sussex with regular shows in Worthing & Billingshurst. He started out by bringing TV comedians to local pubs (Cow & Oak, John Selden, The Goose) before taking over a space in Worthing launched on March 31st 2023 with a capacity of 300 seats. He then moved to Petworth expanding out to the Leconfield Hall (150 seats) and then providing a more intimate venue in Billingshurst with 50 seats.​​

As of February 2026, The Comedy Rooms found their new home at Global House, Portland Square, Worthing.​

There is also a fully licensed bar with a full PA and screens throughout the venue so you can always see, and hear, what's going on! The bar is fully mobile and can be hired or used at any venue that doesn't provide a bar.
